![]() Western Project - Evangelism and TrainingOne important part of our partnership with Mission Link Ministries is to support the local church in reaching communities with the Gospel. This support is provided through both evangelism and training. Each year several Short Term Teams take part in community evangelism with the pastors and church members. Visitors from overseas are a cause of excitement in the villages, creating a crowd everywhere they go. This creates opportunities to share Christ with crowds in markets, at local soccer games, and with individuals. After people respond to the Gospel, the pastors are either able to plug them into an existing church or plant a new one. In 2007, one team visited and spent a day in the market place collecting trash and sharing the Gospel. A new church was birthed and today Kimuqui Baptist Church is a vibrant community of approximately 200 believers. Training pastors and ministry leaders from the 37 churches is another important component of our partnership with the local church. These leaders go through 1 year of Bible school, which helps to equip them with basic theological training as well as teaches them how to communicate this information to others. |

Pastor Ben is one of the pastors who has benefited from the theological training. He pastors Kharanda Baptist Church, which has approximately 500 members. “Thank you for theological college I have undergone, I am now able to deliver the right message to my church members. I am able to make a sermon and I have seen many people coming to Christ because of this training.” |
